So when I was 11…

I found this website called BYOND.

Basically, BYOND is a gaming community website. What makes BYOND special is that it also provides simplified, stream-lined tools for people to make their own games.

When I was 11 I found this website, fell in love (with a Final Fantasy MMO, mostly) and began programming.
I had one really successful game (a dot//hack fangame) and spent 10 years just…coding. Making stuff. I never finished a complete game (the dot//hack game came close), but I was very prolific.

I taught myself how to program through BYOND and never felt more proud of something. Being 11 and making video games without any training or instruction.

Sadly, I stopped after a while. I got distracted by other games, MMOs, jobs, college, blah blah blah.

Well, the whole point of this is; I think it is time to start making games again.
